Adam Lambert and Nile Rodgers perform David Bowie’s ’Let’s Dance’ Duo team … – Gigwise

Duo team up at Rodger’s US fundraising gig Photo: Avicii / Twitter Having previously stepped into the shoes of Freddie Mercury to front Queen in 2012, US singer Adam Lambert[1] has now joined music icon Nile Rodgers to perform a version of David Bowie’s iconic, ’Let’s Dance’ hit. Lambert and Rodgers have worked together on a new track alongside rising EDM superstar AVicii, and the duo performed the track at Rodgers Nile’s All For The East End fundraising event last night, 19 August 2013. Rodgers originally produced the track for Bowie in 1983. ”Adam is going to do a song I did with a great friend of mine named David Bowie,” said Rodgers as he introduced the track. ”In this situation, this is not a suggestion, it’s a command.” Watch Nile Rodgers and Adam Lambert perform ’Let’s Dance’ below Speaking of the performance after the event, Lambert later tweeted: ”Wow!
