Adam Lambert and Nile Rodgers Cover David Bowie’s Classic "Let’s Dance" – About – News & Issues

Adam Lambert continues to demonstrate that he has one of the most powerful and unique voices in current pop music. Last night he joined the legendary Nile Rodgers to deliver a rousing cover version of David Bowie’s classic ”Let’s Dance.” Nile Rodgers is the leader of disco band Chic who gave us the #1 smash hits ”Le Freak” and ”Good Times.” Following the heyday of the group, Nile Rodgers turned to production and session work. Among his successes was David Bowie’s chart topping ”Let’s Dance.” Nile Rodgers returned to the spotlight this year with his inimitable guitar work on Daft Punk’s ”Get Lucky.”[1][2] Adam Lambert will be performing at this year’s iHeartRadio Festival with Queen taking over Freddie Mercury’s classic lead vocals. Last night’s event was Nile Rodgers’ dance party to benefit the non-profit All For the East End[3]. This was not Adam Lambert’s first collaboration with Nile Rodgers. They worked together on the track ”Shady” from Adam Lambert’s #1 hit album Trespassing.
