Baccalieu Idol 2018 this Thursday in Old Perlican

OLD PERLICAN, NL — Baccalieu Idol 2018 will take place at Baccalieu Collegiate in Old Perlican on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m.

The 15th annual Idol competition features nine Baccalieu Collegiate student-musicians, ranging in age from 12 to 17 years, all competing for the title of Baccalieu Idol 2018.

The Idols competing are Alyssa Barrett, Emily Follett, Danielle Walsh, Hayley North, Olivia Bishop, Hannah Hoyles, Cody Peddle, Charley Green and Emily Power. Music accompanists are students Makayla Spence-Kelly, Adrian Brookings, Ashton White and Danielle Walsh. Baccalieu Idol 2017 winner Makayla Wells will also perform during the evening.

Serving as judges for the competition are three local musicians — Terri Lynn Eddy of The Secrets, singer Vicky Doyle and musician Mr. Wayne Button. For ticket information or any other additional information, please contact the school at 587-3210.
