Lindsay Lohan’s mother is set to star in this summer’s Celebrity Big Brother.

Dina Lohan has reportedly signed up to appear on the show to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Perez Hilton, Michelle Visage and Gary Busey, sources have confirmed to TMZ.

With Lindsay currently living in London, you’d think this would be the perfect opportunity for the mother and daughter duo to spend time together, but not so claims the website.

They claim LiLo ’flipped out and began screaming at her mom, saying she had no right to come to England’.

Mirror TV has contacted reps for Lindsay and Dina for comment.

Dina’s rep tells us: ”Dina’s not in negotiations with CBB.”

Dina’s appearance on the Channel 5 reality show comes after it was revealed Celebrity Big Brother bosses are planning a USA v UK theme for this summer’s show.

Producers were inspired by the way American gossip blogger Perez Hilton stirred up trouble in the recent series of the fly-on-the-wall programme and think it would make compelling viewing to divide the contestants into two teams based on their nationalities.

A source told The Sun newspaper: ”The reason bosses have come up with this idea is because of the impact Perez had on the January series. He was so out there and caused such mayhem that producers want to take it to the next level for the new show.

”They hope that by pitching Brits against Americans they will capitalise on our cultural differences and fireworks will ensue.”

And show bosses have reportedly made the decision to book as many ”fiery” stars as possible.

The source added: ”Usually producers want a mix of contestants with some calmer people amongst the drama queens but this time they have said they want a house full of fiery characters.

”They want it to be one of the most explosive series ever.”

It was recently revealed US model Janice Dickinson, 60, has already signed up for the show.

The brunette star – who previously appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! – has reportedly agreed a £300,000 deal with Channel 5 to enter the famous house.

Janice’s rumoured CBB pay packet would be one of the largest in the show’s history and comes after former glamour model Katie Price was handed a reported £500,000 to appear on the most recent series, on which she was crowned champion.
