October 20, 2013 18:31 Prince hosted a special gig at Paisley Park last night (October 19) during which pancakes were served Prince[1] hosted a special gig called ’The Breakfast Experience Pajama Dance Party’ yesterday (October 19) at Paisley Park Studio, his home and personal recording complex.Attendees were required to come dressed in sleepwear and the flier for the event advised: ”Dress 2 impress – keep it classy!” Prince himself chose to wear a silk robe over what is apparently a pair of My Little Pony pyjamas. Watch him and his 3rdEyeGirl band perform ’Let’s Go Crazy’ at the unique gig above.Doors to Paisley Park opened at 2am and a $50 donation was required on the door. According to Dr Funkenberry[2], pancakes were served at a price of $1 each and Prince played two full sets including renditions of ’Purple Rain’, ’I Would Die 4 U’ and ’Alphabet St’. Prince recently unveiled the video for his new single ’Breakfast Can Wait’, which doesn’t feature Prince himself, but rather a female Prince impersonator. Director Danielle Curielle was in attendance at last night’s ’Pajama Dance Party’ and came out before Prince’s first set to talk about the video, which was then shown to attendees.Prince has been releasing a slew of material online in recent months via his 3rdEyeGirl[3] website. Earlier this year, the singer and his new band embarked on a theatre tour of North America, with gigs in Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Las Vegas, San Diego, Anaheim and Denver
